Camp Counselor for English summer camps for kids

WANTED: Counselors for Summer Camps!

You are a native speaker and you love to play & work with kids between 6 and 15 years? Then come and join us: Become a camp counselor at our Camps in Germany!
ourCamps offers fun summer camps for German children and youth between the ages of 6
and 15. The camp languages are English, French or Spanish (according to the counselors).
Our campsites are located in Germany, in and around Berlin and Lower Saxony. Our varied
camp programs of games, sports, drama, arts and crafts allow participants to improve their
language skills and have fun at the same time.
We are looking for counselors who want to stay the whole summer in Germany, working
in the camps from end of June until end of August 2022! The season will start with the
mandatory training camp on Thursday June 30th.
You will perform five to six weeks of camps, day camps and overnight camps. Day camps are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, you will have free time in the evening. Overnight camps last from Sunday to Friday, you will stay onsite with the kids.

Requirements
• you are enthusiastic and passionate about working with kids!!!
• you have experience in camp life, working with children and teaching English
• you are a native (level) (or bilingual) English speaker
• you are 18 years or older
• you are responsible and reliable
• you are energetic and outgoing, but also patient and appreciative
• you are able to inspire and motivate children
• you are able to play and work with kids of various ages and language levels
• you have a good understanding of child and youth care
• aditionally to a valid visa and work permit, we need an extended criminal record check and a First Aid certificate from you.

The payment of the counselors is oriented on the minimum wage in Germany. The payment is partly given in money (cash or banc transfer), partly in additional benefits, e.g. accommodation, food, transport. We will organize and pay for your accomodation and transport during the camps. You will get free training and qualification. You will be working in a small and international team. You will build your self-confidence, independence and intercultural understanding and gain experience and qualifications in the fields of child care, youth work and camp life.
